If that was their objective, they strikingly failed to fulfil it. They didn't compare like with like in terms of quantities and length of usage. They couldn't, and neither can anyone else, because nobody has ingested any of those other other drugs in anything like the same quantities or (not often) for anything like the same duration as is the case with alcohol. So it's just one of those questions without an "objective answer". In other words, it's really opinion, not "science" at all: they just pretend it's science in an attempt to boost publicity for their film.
Publicity for their film? It's a doco to inform you of the potential dangers of most drugs society is consuming. The general population is quick to assume E is this very bad evil drug because of it's legal status. The fact of the matter is E is still a very new drug and more research needs to be done to look at potential long term ill effects. But it's pretty safe to say short term effects if used in moderation, it's a pretty safe drug, millions of people do it every weekend including lawyers and doctors! The doco doesn't just look at science, it also takes into account human behavior. People get pissed every day of the week! E is not something you would want to do that often.
Doing "x" makes your jaw clench and all that. Hang overs aren't all that bad. Plus Methamphetamine destroys your spine. I don't think Xtacy is good at all. A little alcohol seems to be healthy in some aspect.
Bad drugs do that. True MDMA won't do it. But some drinks are good to your health: red wine for instance. Say no to drugs kids!
Late 80's, early 90's a friend of mine bought a great book in London about MDMA... Today's party people should read it 100 times...
drugs are stupid. i use my money for good food and sports. some seldom times i drink very much and it always gives problems.
No mate. Methamphetamine is more toxic. They share a similar chemical structure but are different drugs entirely. Or you could just read Erowid.
X will put holes in yer brain over time. Destroys your seratonin receptors. Bad stuff if you want to live life beyond 30.
LOL, the research study you refer to was completely flawed. Thanks for the sensationalism you should become a journalist.
The conclusion I've came to is, if I can do it responsibly, I'll do it...but I only have one brain and one life. Seems like if your going to do "bad" drugs, you should look at your future or what you want to make yourself before you jump into something and get addicted. I don't know a lot about addictions, I' never been addicted to anything, but I've made my decisions based on what I've seen. I don't have time in life to become a slave to something. I'll smoke the odd joint every month, get drunk sometimes but half the time I never even think of needing to do it. That's where I want to stay. When it comes down to it, I'd rather be House M.D. and have a brain than Ozzy who tries to remember where he's at and how he got there?
Exactly so. Their financial prospects depend on how many TV channels in how many countries buy it. Like other film-makers, they're running a business, of course. I completely agree with you. Yet another reason why it can't meaningfully be compared with alcohol on a like-for-like basis. It certainly seems very clear that if alcohol were newly discovered and coming on the market for the first time, it would have absolutely no chance at all of getting a product-license.
i wont be doing any of the 2 named for a while, il stick to weed since it's safer then alcohol AND ecatsy is!
