I would be worried about copyright issues... getting sued, etc.

It's trademark infringement. It has no value - in fact, I would consider is a liability.

    i would not fear that...

but get the domain to a medical-topic big youtube user, so he can redirect YOUTUBE.MD to his medical-related-youtube-channel.
thats the only option to make money off it without risking legal troubles.

cause when you use the domain to link to youtube, you dont infringe their rights!

    Agreed:
reg fee -100,000k in damages. Hey don't worry buddy just get
yourself some legal aid and plead temporary insanity:D
    some advice: http://www.copyright.gov/title17/92chap5.html
Best thing to do is drop it (if it's still in grace period)
or get privacy on the whois (maybe fake address as well):D:D

    Best of luck ROOFIS:cool:

Could be you are right guys, but on other side I have the legal and official rights for YOUTUBE.MD domain. Don't forget as well the basic human rights...

Nevertheless, and in order to respect the Google rights, please note that "YouTube is a trademark or registered trademark of Google Inc."

    Regards,
    YouTube.MD

Owning a domain gives you absolutely no legal rights to use a trademark. A disclaimer won't do you any good - it's still infringement if it is used in any way associated with a TM holder. YouTube is a famous mark, and thus has even broader protection.

Nice idea but I can't think of anyone crazy enough to buy it:p
It's like this, 'who here in this thread wants it and who dares to
develop it:D Anyone:confused:. Simple answer is no. does anyone
remember the Windows vs Lindows saga? Windows lost the
case but won by driving Lindow's into bankruptcy over legal
    cost's.

well you didnt read what i said properly " trademark domain buyers " and yes there are domainers that buy trademark domains , its the price , they pay little amout but there are such domainers and they dont come to you , you have to look for them , you can find some such in dnf , not in dp , here everyone is trying to score big with small and cheap prices and everyone expect big amt for their small stuff :)

leagal issue is here the word "youtube" , youtube isn't a generic term that you can fight about in a court either, the word youtube is discovered by the founders of youtube , and the word youtube now is owned by Google Crop. and they can file a trademark against the domain youtube.md if they want to :)
