Hey Everyone, I got my very own SERVER :D For my webhosting/vps hosting business.

However I did get this quite a few months ago now however I felt like sharing!

    Make/Model - Dell Poweredge R200
    CPU - Quad Core Processor
    Hard Drive - 1.5 Terabytes! (2 x 750GB)
    RAM - 2GB

And now that its Colocated I have..

    100MBPS Connection
    3,000GB Bandwidth
And never been down so far (100% Uptime for the past 102 Days now!) Im serious.

I may rent it out tho at some point because of the massive companys competing with me for webhosting etc.. So feel free to offer me if you wanna rent it.

    Jordan :)

How much does it cost exactly to get a server computer?

Mines a RACK SERVER not one made from a regular Computer.

With a little deal from Dell because ive bought products from them before. This system cost me about £685 i think. Very good price I think.

Good job, guy . What is your hosting packages and what is the rate ?
I used to rent a vps which takes much time to manage it . So I have less time focus on my sites.
Then I am decided to host my site in virture hosting rather than have a vps or serer myself .

Well, that's an awesome deal. You might want to think of getting some publicity about it, and if you earn enough, upgrading hardware or adding some professional software. Although if you don't have too much money for publicity, you might as well just rent the whole thing to somebody until you get some profits to do so.

You might even want to keep a script or image stating how long you've maintained 100% uptime.

2 GB seems a little low on RAM. I would up that. At least double.
