I just upgraded my account in Paypal to premier and suddenly I find each and every payment received is being charged a transaction fee !!!!

    Earlier...it was not the case....:(

Have I committed a mistake by upgrading?

What are the benefits one derives on upgrading to this premier account?. Can anyone throw more light on this...please?

    Regards,

Personal account only can receive the money from paypal..You also can receive the money from CC if you have premier account....Paypal allows 2 accounts per person..You can create another personal account..
    Don't worry..:)

There is fees for business and premiere accounts,if u want to get paid without fees, ask sender to use "mass pay" option and send u money.

Fees are always there in premier and business paypal account. If you want to receive money without fee then switch back to personal account though you can get limited (maybe 5) credit card payment in your personal account. Hope it helps.

    Dear Jimmy,

Will "mass pay" involve additional cost to the sender?

Sender would agree only if he did not have to incur additional expense....

Yes they would, but it's not much..

"A low fee of 2.0% of the payment amount with a cap of $1.00 USD (or its equivalent in the payment currency) is assessed on each payment made with Mass Payment."

    So max $1.00 USD... :)

You can contact paypal support and request to switch your account back to personal use. premiere account though, ensure safer and better transactions. and it will lessen the possibilities of having your account FROZEN
