check out turners auctions - they are huge and reputable for bikes (buy new!) google avanti, bike barn, hedgehog bikes and planet cycles for second hand (if you must) look at trademe The North Island is an easy ride with Northland, Auckland, Rotorua, Taupo, Bay of Plenty, East Cape and Wellington on the must see list. The South Island is popular with cycle tourists too (they must be mad, and I've done a bit! ) and the must see list includes the Marlborough Sounds, Kaikoura, Christchurch, West Coast, Queenstown, Milford Sound. Plus for the bike there is the http://www.otagorailtrail.co.nz/ which I can't wait to take the kids on. Maybe next summer!!!
