Fell Off of Google?

I am having a strange issue, at least I think I am :)

My company's blog (www.vpccomputersblog.com) was showing up on the top of Google when typing 'vpc computers' in the Google search bar, which is good. But since last night, my blog doesn't show up at all on Google. Even when I type in 'vpccomptersblog' in the Google search bar. No results for it!

The blog is through blogger with a custom domain hosted by eNom through Google.

    Any advice?

    Thanks in advance :)

I'm not finding it in any of the search engines indexes

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=http://www.vpccomputersblog.com&btnG=Search

    http://ca.search.yahoo.com/search?ei=UTF-8&p=http://www.vpccomputersblog.com&fr=yfp-t-501&dups=1

    http://search.live.com/results.aspx?q=http://www.vpccomputersblog.com&go=&form=QBLH

    Is this a NEW Blog?

Although it may have shown up on Google at one time, if it is NEW, it sometimes bounces in and out of the Index for a whille, but it will eventually come back

I have seen the same thing happen to my NEW sites

Thanks for the link, just skimming through the forum and a lot of people seems very helpful, not to mention some of them seem to have a very deep understanding with the question at hand...

Were these rankings new or older? if older then your link building stuff is not paying off. If new then you need to concentrate more on you off page.

    Cheers

It seems to be a fairly new blog, about a month old. It is showing as indexed on Google when you use the "site:" operator, so nothing there. Age is the only factor that I can see that might have triggered the drop in rankings. The sandbox effect, or the aging filter.

Personally I would like to have a blog as a subdomain and not an entirely new domain. Something like this www.abc.com/blog. Is useful in getting around such issues.

did you check only first page? If not, try checking next few pages.
I have noticed this happening with my site, but after few days it starting appearing, it is due to google index. if this is the case, the page should start showing up in day or two.

Check out Google webmaster tools if you have installed it. You might be able to find out if your pages have actualy been indexed or not.

I would just wait for a while, the site could just be in the middle of indexing or something. It should be back tommorrow

New sites typically move in and out of keywords and the index. Work on getting some high quality backlinks to your site from relevant niches and you will be back up there again.

Yeah, I'm having some of this with a new site. A nice little stream of Google traffic for a couple of days and then a complete drought again. Also I get weird things like my site ranking first for the domain name for a few days and then getting pushed down again by other sites that recently linked to me and have a higher rank. In my experience this usually sorts itself out after a week or so.

When a site is new, that's when you see all kinds of interesting stuff going on - results vary wildly, presumably because there are not many factors for Google to take into account, so even a small change, like one extra backlink, can make a huge difference. Later, things settle down.

I JUST had about 20 pages dropped from the index from a site with about 100 pages. Looks to be about the same time you experienced it.

For me, I will just identify the pages, promote, improve, and hope they come back. It doesn't look like they were pages generating any traffic at first glance.
