Me thinking, can any one with experience give me their input on the following. I've been using blog commenting, press releases, articles and web directory submissions for building back links. But I've been thinking if you had $1,000 to spend on backlinks which way would you go? I can have 55 unique articles written and submitted to article directories or to buy 3 x relevant backlinks on the homepage of PR5+ sites. Also, what about none native speaking sites that have high PR, for example my sites in English we have sales offices in UK and USA, but I've found some high PR sites that are in the Chez republic. Which in your experience would get me higher in the SERPs?
It is highly disputable - why - its depending on the sites you publish the articles - if they are well ranked magazines sites, maybe articles will work better. If you just submit to general article directories, probably only few of them will be really useful. Buying links is not ethical right now, so you have to be careful how you do it. Couldn't you get 3-4 links from high authoritative sites in your field?
I'd pay for articles to submit to differnt websites, like article dictornicrys, pay somebody todo some backlinking for me and do some link exchanges.
I would go with directories, blogs, social networking sites and articles. PAID BACK LINKS < Can sometimes get you penalized by GOOGLE > Good Luck, ~ Mike
I do not believe in paid links as well. Building quality links organically takes some time but pays you back later on.
Get 55 articles written and give it free to other websites in your field if they will leave you one link in the content - great link juice. I'm currently doing that for my discount codes site to get he links built up ready for when I launch it, sorry dont know much on the Chez rep - an interesting idea though so could be worth looking into.
"GOOD" Articles are very effective IMO. Try that 20 should take no longer than 5 days(2 hour each day) Hope this helps.
I say keep on article writing but go with buying some high PR relevant links. They will pay off in the future.
No matter what anyone TELLS you, Google IS penalizing sites for buying links. It's not just the site that sells them. If you happen to purchase some links and the site you purchased them from is found to be selling links and penalized by Google for this, you can rest assured that the buyers will also be penalized. I would NOT risk this, if I were you.
Im not I've decided to get lots of articles created, blog comments, as well as your monthly supply of fantastic links. rather than buy links.
NONE of the sites I check on goarticles or anything like it can rank for the terms they are targetting...
Your best bet would be to buy some high PR, relevant, contextual links at a post-level. You could get a good number of these with your budget. The problem with article links and backlinks from social bookmarking sites is that they can only move your site up in the SERPs so far. A few high-quality contextual links can mean the equivalent of literally thousands of article backlinks and such.
I love it - Is there a google policeman looking at the billions of sites out there - emailing some blog owner and offering him a few bucks for a link will cause no problems. also using a tool like submiteaze and adding 10 titles - 10 discriptions and submitting to a few hundred directories do not harm also. if you have $1k to spent -contextual links ( qaulity ) - hire a cheap DP comment poster. install a wordpress blog on your site and rant about your subject and you hit some keywords. It not rocket science. then grab the data from your webmaster tools and have a look at google insight http://www.google.com/insights/search/# and repeat - links are okay but if the long run articles equals content equals traffic equals YOUR THE MAN. Good luck on your venture and i hope it pans out for you
Relevant links are always better and using good anchor texts are great... They help get good rankings but do not use Blackhat SEO Techniques because i am sure you may get penalized. ~ Mike
So, i buy 1K links pointing to your site, let Google know about it and you are screwed? Banned? Hope you realize what you are telling us... is not true, otherwise, this would be a Ban game.
We have had very good luck finding sites that do not sell links, but have google adsence (means they want to make money of of their site) . We analyze their backlinks and make an offer to them vial email. Some don't understand why we want to buy links on their site, but then we send them an email explaining it and it works great for some niches.
Article submission is a great long term method of building links but if you have cash you can get instant results with buying quality links. For me thou its article marketing.
