I receive spam as private messages on this forum

    Is this a good method to do marketing?

    I receive messages like this:

    2 dasy back I received same type message and today the sender is baned. Few people opening new accoutn sending bulk PM for their markeig purpose. thye are Spam the blog. Please report to moderator if any body received this type of PM

    I get these spam messages about once a week. I have not reported them yet, I just delete it. But obviously, not the smartest person in terms of marketing.

    Nasty little gits.

    Send them through to a mod who is online and we'll deal to them.

    Most are bots focused on the large vB boards and there's little we can do to close them down.
