hi guys need help with my placement

i have a free file hosting site "www.smartsharing.net" i kept two Google ad slots get some clicks 10-20 per day but not much i earn 0.5 -1.50 $ give me some suggestions i have clicksor ads too approved for that site since i heard i cant keep adsense and clicksor on same page i don't keep banners of clicksor ,please help me to improve my earnings

 

what sort of ctr rate are you getting? If your ctr is high, then probably your niche is low paying, so the solution might be to bring in more visitors..

CTR is just 1.01% presently i get 1000-1500 visitors a day

 

Try using image adverts instead and placing them above the file upload form.

Then try putting in some text link ads as well.

 

well, first thing I notice is that the site loads very slow..
Also, in my opinion there are too many obstrusive ads (pop ups and adbrite full page ads)..

In terms of placement, they looks ok.. I like the banner at the top..

Maybe you want to try change the AdSense link into black to how it converts..

Looks like there's nothing much you can do if your niche is low paying. Only way forward is to increase your traffic and work on promoting your file hosting site.

 

nice to hear u liked banner :d i change adsense url from green to black ,moved popups to download page only any more recommendations ?

By the way, did you make the left adsense text only and the right one image only?

Also, rather than just having the text "smartsharing.net fast free n secure file hosting!" (above the navigation), maybe it's better to make a nice header for it (you can find header designer for cheap here on dp, or you can create it yourself), then you can replace your current banner with a google adsense 728x90 banner.. That way you don't show your current banner on the site, rather just use it for marketing purpose when you want to put banner on other people's sites..

i placed banner just 3 days back before there used to be a 728*90 ad slot i heard that low units = high cost per click so i replaced it with banner , you suggested for another banner isn't it good ?

 

Well, it is good, but you don't get money with your own banner..

That's why I thought it would be better to use that banner spot for adsense advertisement and use a non-animated header for the site..

By the way, I didn;t really understand what you meant by "low units=high CPC"..

 

i heard that if u place low no. ad units instead of 3 allowed ones Google pays more CPC so i reduced one unit
