    Nice observation !.

Google really does not have the capability to find original post when somebody's work is copied. They usually end up giving credit to a website with better PR.

I am sure Matt knows that its not working..

Just goes to show that Google isn't perfect and duplicate content can still be slipped through their algo. At least make these "tips" more up to date and add your own information to them. You want to make useful post's tot he community, why submit info that is outdated, some useless and other's just a load of crap?

IMHO this proves that DP forum is "SEO" niche/theme site and that fresh content has more SERP strength than old content , interesting !!!

That is interesting, It may be the new page boost that Google sometimes gives out, Interesting to see how long it stays on top.

Also when searching for famous SEO tricks I see the original Ezine article is #2, and the #1 spot goes to a blogspot blog that stole the article a few months after it was written (March 19, 2008)

The blogspot blog that takes out the #1 spot shows a toolbar PR-N/A and the ezine article show a toolbar PR-1..

I would have thought that Google could easily find the original article by doing a first cache date search (automated) and rank accordingly. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...us-SEO-Tricks&id=935653&as_qdr=y9&btnG=Search
Seems they don't do that, wonder why.

    Cheers
    James
