Almost every host supported php + MYSQL can support wordpress. However I recommended bluehost or hostgator, both of them are popular hosting provider. Check my sign if you planning to signup those hosting and you can get some discount from there.
I would recommend nearlyfreespeech.net. They have you prepay for hosting space, but the minimum purchase is $5, I think. It's a bit harder to work with, since they don't have the extra tools to make setup easier for the less experienced users. The sites run on dynamic ips and the customer service is usually a link to a faq page, but their usually nice about helping users, and the answer is most likely in the fact anyways. You should give them a try.
If you are not familiar with installing scripts on hosts you might want to use Fantastico located in cPanel for an easy installation of WordPress.
I found www.hostmonster.com to be quite reasonable. They actually have a special promotion going on right now.
If you have more than 100+ wordpress website and intent to use them to build blogfarm then I suggest you looking for a hosting that allow you host unlimited number of domains and subdomains + unlimited MySQL database. You can find that unlimited hosting for just about 3.95 per month under my signature.
I would suggest sambahosting (www.sambahosting.com ) Their prices is not only cheap, but they have excellent services too...
I recommend bluehost or hostmonster - it is the same company duo. they chrage you 6 dollars a month if you pay up front. They have wordpress built it and it's pretty good hosting.
Few days back i saw adsense ads at the top of DP forums about some "ARZhost" best for wordpress hosting [ they claimed in the ad] it was something around $1.95/month. google it out youll know further. good lcuk. or else go for hostmonster anytime.
