Same Country Bank Transfer - What Info is Needed?

    If both parties are in Canada, what information is needed?

    Sender goes to bank that receiver deals with and just needs to provide account # and branch #, is this right? I know with international wires there is a crap load of information that is needed. :eek:

    Don't know if it works for all country but in India if you want to do bank transfer all you need is bank name,account holder name,account number and branch of that account.

    Makes sense but bank name - the person has to go to your bank anyways.

    In europe - atleast in my country, only account number is required.

    True, i think the account numbe would suffice, or at the max, first name, and bank name.
