Next they'll do some serious PR missions swaying the public that a new world order is actually needed, and that if it were to be seen as anything but a positive change, you would be ridiculed an unpatriotic traitor.

    *shudders*

That sounds eerily similar to how the conservatives went on a national campaign to paint anyone not for the war as "un-American". I mean afterall, we were "spreading democracy" (whether they wante dit or not).

Or more recently, Sarah Palin's definition of "real Americans".

Learn from our history then my friend, be verrrry cautious to be on any side of an argument who's winning method is intimidation and ridicule. This may be the only issue we agree on, but we can learn a lot from it.

That's unfortunate. I was hoping to be remembered as a very patriotic traitor.

It's just a collection of words.

NWO is nothing but what we are living in. Present circumstances have made it more visible and plausible, while making us, the people, more vulnerable to getting trapped in its school of thought

First it was just a nutjob conspiracy theory, now it's just a collection of words, what will it be next.. a collection of coincidental events that happen to look like a new world order?

'New world order' started as a collection of words that conspiracy nuts built a theory around.

Explain the theory to me then that makes it so radical.

What is it you think is happening?

    Some world currency?
    Some world government?

What is it that scares you about those words? I don't want either of the two things above, but I don't think there is any new world order coming in the way that you imply with this thread.

Do you know the implications of a global financial order? I don't know the details. That's what's on the agenda though. Are you blind or do you really not think that means much of anything?

Nate lives in a paralell universe where governments announce thier secret plans for world domination on tv. If the "new world order" did exist, in the way he imagines, they wouldn't talk about it ok tv.

I am not blind, nor am I blinded by fear.

You think there is a group pulling all the strings and that everyone we elect is in on it or is just some patsy. I guess we just have a different view on how the world works.

I do not think the quote you originally cited means much of anything, let alone something to get worked up about.

Actually they could and should stOx. The majority of the public is at least aware of the words "new world order" and only a fraction of these associate negative connotations with it. Why not set out early to associate good connotations with it?

So that when people see it IS coming and people like me are saying, "hey that's probably not a good idea", everyone who was watching the boob tube will say, "you're an idiot - our economy will crash without this!"

There's like a million different versions of it. Alex Jones alone doesn't even seem to have one coherent theory. He finds conspiracy in everything and throws it against the wall to see what sticks.

I do not think US sovereignty should be limited or undermined in any way whatsoever.

Do you not agree that various countries' place in the world changes with time? That China is on the rise? Is that not a change to the existing world order?

I'll hold you to that. For some reason I think most of you will welcome any "protection" at the expense of some "ancient and outdated" liberties.
