The national league of womens voters used to be the one who decided what political parties were to be included in the debates. watch this video folks!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ym4DxWAL8Ak national debate commission created by congress run by the former heads of the democratic and republican parties. Clinton and dole both didnt want ross perot to be included in the debates and took it to the commission and it was rubber stamped and perot was excluded. People is this a democracy when 2 people can decide who can and cant be included for us to hear on a national platform? Ross perot got 19% of the votes and qualified for 30 million of our tax dollars. Why wasnt he included even though he qualified? The 2 party system controls all the power, not because they have the peoples majority vote behind them but because they control who is and who isnt heard and this is how they did it. VIVA DEMOCRACY!!! In my next thread lets discuss what rock the debate is
1. Clinton ran against Bush when Perot was running. 2. Perot was in the debates - so what the heck are you talking about? 3. A letigimate third party candidate who has the backing of more than just a fringe of America should and did end up in the debates. People who poll at just a couple percent have no business in the debates.
Dude this is the 1992 debate not the 1996 debate. Correct me if im wrong but was bush in the 1996 debate? and also why arent 3rd party candidates allowed to serve on the debate comission? What are they scared of?
