So I can use this for file hosting ? Do you allow mp3 and adult ? Are you also hosting proxy in the same server with web hosting ? It can cause lag.

 

Yeah - You can use it for LEGAL file/mp3 hosting and adult hosting. Its non-oversold, so you can upload a 500GB file to the backup plan, and it wouldn't matter at all.

Ideal if you want to start up a free or paid image/video/file hosting site. We have th PHPmotion plans too.

You can see that I'm trying to sell it off in large chunks - Proxies don't take up that much CPU like most people think. But yes, I am hosting proxies on the same server.

FYI (no ill intentions!):

On/offshore is relative, and depends on where you are based; if you stay in the US, every other place that isn't in the US is considered offshore. Likewise, if you are based in The Netherlands, servers in Amsterdam are not offshore, but onshore, and servers in the US are considered offshore.

I know what you mean - But offshore is normally related to warez/illegal material/copyright infringement. In Amsterdam, they overlook you doing that, in France, they don't. So thats what I mean by 'considered onshore'. Geographically your correct...

 

If you used the whole 1,500GB of hard drive space, doesn't that mean that your server would be extemely slow?

Also, what if the hard drives fail? Does that mean that you will loose the 1,500GB of data?

 

I don't see any reason why it should be extremely slow. It would slow down a bit, no doubt - thats natural for any server, as the older it gets, then the more people that use it. But why would a full 750GB hard drive become unusable? Is a full USB disk slow, Is a full DVD-RW slow? So the answer to your question is no.

I've got a spare/separate 750GB hard drive which will be dedicated to backups, but its silly to backup the backups , so I will just be leaving that harddrive for main websites/The PHPMotion and Proxy hosting.

So, the answer to your second question, if all the data is lost, then yes! The data will be lost. (Unless its been backed up)

I aim to put 20-30 clients on this server. 20 clients sharing 4GB RAM and a Dual Core, I doubt thats going to lag.

But anyway, what was the point of your questions? You were pretty much asking: If your server breaks, will it still work?

The nameservers are:

You should have got them in the same email which contains your cPanel details titled 'New Account Information'.

Check your junk if you didn't get it, its right under the server IP, and package name.

must be a problem of yahoo

none of them contained any other data like name server
or acct details


i will assume my cp data are the same as the ftp data
from where i can upload script

 

Damn, you were meant to get 4 - Ill PM you the contents of the Account Information email. You have got your cPanel details in your cp account, click on hosting accounts - they will be in there.

EDIT: If you log into your clients account at : http://cdkhosting.co.uk/clients - Look for 'Last 5 emails' - In there, you will have all the emails you need on file.

FORGOT TO MENTION: All accounts will have the cPanel control panel. Latest version fully licensed, fully updated.

I really wanted to buy into this. I plan on starting an image hosting site and it would be real bad if the server failed and/or all data is/will be lost.
