What is the biggest newbie Adsense frustration? I would say - the amount of earnings. What about you? Would like to hear from some newbies....
The biggest frustration Adsense newbies have is that they get pissed when their site isn't making $100 a day, the day after they put the adsense code on it. They don't realize that most adsense publishers will never even get to $10 a day, not because it isn't possible, but because they don't have the patience to keep building their sites and finding new ways to increase traffic and clicks. This is the phrase I hear the most however.. "I got 10 clicks today and I only made $0.26. What am I doing wrong?" Here's the answer...YOU GOT 10 CLICKS....THAT's What Your Doing Wrong. Focus on making a site that people will want to visit, your traffic will increase, and your clicks will naturally increase as well. If I had a dime for everytime I saw a statement like that, I'd be running my own Adsense program.
When I first started, I figured I'd get clicks and make money no problem. Reality sets in pretty fast when 2 weeks go by with no clicks, that's when I started trying a lot harder to get pageviews and work on ad placement. Now I get at least a few clicks a day, but still seems like nothing. Definitely frustrating, more like disappointing, but it's getting better as I gain more experience!
ha ha - good point. Thanks for the other comments. I would have to agree - most people have an unrealistic expectation the week they discover it and then when they get limited clicks the reality sets in.
Making only cents and some days nothing on some sites, but as christian231 says, its all about building it up and driving more traffic.
