been wanting to ask this question for a little while now... I've been doing is optimizing webpages for coffee growers and coffee company retailers some of the questions I've been getting from my coffee customers is should they run an affiliate program and try to get people to sell their coffee for them.

I aggressively attacked their questioning but maybe I could lighten up a little bit with a little help........................... the concept of marketing coffee for affiliate programmers I think has a lot to do with how that person wants to market their product so my question is what should I tell my customers as far as marketing coffee as an affiliate program................

Well why are you against an affiliate program for them in the first place? Worst case scenario is they setup with SaS and spend $300 plus a few hundred more in advertising and the program doesn't do anything for them. Best case scenario is they spend the same money and get a massive jump in revenue.

I am actually not against setting up an affiliate program but some of my clients, are hesitant to do it but they want to do it so what I'm doing is recommending that they start building blogs like WordPress etc. to help their applications full of better.

And yes I do understand the worst-case scenario if they spend money and get a massive jump in revenue. But what I am trying to tell them that this is essentially what is going to help their application but they need niche rich content to push those applications and affiliate programs above and beyond it does take a lot to put an affiliate program on top of others takes a lot of niche rich spot generated keywords and hot content about the affiliate program as far as promoting a niche especially coffee.

So my information that I gather and give it my clients is in good hopes in good standings of their understanding so that they can see what I offer

Setup affiliate program benefit for sure as cost per sale. Setup cost might high but surely gain more income infuture with less marketing cost.

I am not a coffee drinker myself but it just seems weird to buy coffee from an affiliate

I like to buy things online and prefer to do it, but some things should be bought in person I think Coffee is one of them cause you can smell it and you need the aromas to want to buy it

    just my opinion though

Sounds like you need to speak with a big affiliate network program manager to get specifics. I've never ran an affiliate program, although I've been an affiliate for companies, and I'm sure they would more specific benefits and costs for you to analyze and offer your customers.
