Well I just finished writing (explaining) some of the SEO jargon in our SEO Wiki. You can check it out and can tell me some SEO terms which you may want to see. I will try to add more terms in coming days. So far, I have explained 1. Cloaking 2. Doorway Pages 3. Google Bomb 4. Google Bowling 5. Google Dance 6. Keyword Cannibalization and few more.. Cheers
That's a good effort buddy. I know you are already thinking of adding more pages just a few terms that you might want to use in your wiki Nofollow/Dofollow Article Marketing 301 redirection Fake PR Dropped Domains H1/H2/Title tags Meta tags (including meta robots) Sitewide links Directories Would love to see a comprehensive resource like the one you are planning to build.
url canonicalization deep linking duplicate content anchor t4ext linkbait on/offpage optimization there's heaps more if you want to put the basic stuff in, like alt image tags, backlinks, black/white hat, reciprocol links, etc.
The idea is good (seo wiki) but it doesn't look like a wiki. I have found some definitions for wiki: 1. This is a website that includes the collaboration of work from many different authors. A wiki site allows anyone to edit, delete, or modify the ... 2. A collection of web pages that can be edited by a group. 3. A wiki is a type of web site that allows users to easily create, edit, and organize web pages. Many wikis allow anyone to create and edit any page ...
Although it is a great idea, you will need to allow people to create a DoFollow link to get them to do free work. Wiki screwed everyone after years of free editing.
Well I can give user permissions to edit the pages (so every registered member can edit the seo wiki) though I am little concerned about it right now, the reason being spamming and someone deleting others pages. I don't have enough time to sit and keep on restoring pages but if any one of you wants to contribute, please tell me and I will seriously think about taking help from others. Changing the layout and design of the pages to make them look more like wiki is not a problem. Also I am using drupal and it has powerful ACL so we can built a good permission system using it. Anyway I have noted down you guys suggestions and will look to add them accordingly.
