I hope Obama is not addicted to Oil

Since early 90's Hybrid engine technology was already available and was expected to be released in the early 20th century. Then a man addicted to oil becomes president of the United States. All countries and big car companies didn't use and release the technology in public to avoid being a weapon testing ground. A lot of lives are sacrifice in the war just to build an oil pipeline for Bush oil company

Gasoline only cost 20¢ USD per liter in the Middle East. A bottle of drinking water is more expensive. Imagine how many x is the overprice in the price of oil.

Everyone is addicted to oil. There is a high demand for hybrid cars and supply and demand will be the driving force of new technology.

Yeah, unfortunately Obama's energy policy is like putting a bandade on arm thats cut off... it might stop some of the bleeding but we're going to need a more radical movement than just "putting more hybrids on the road". If he can get what he promised done which was a guarantee to get us away from spending so much money on foreign oil within 10 years, I will be much more happy. I guess we'll see. :)

Well buying a gallon of Aquifinia or Evian here in the U.S. is more than a gallon of gasoline, a lot more. Just saying. Perhaps we should make cars that run on ink?

Well, there seems to be soooo much "hope" and "change" in the air the past few days. Maybe we should try and run our cars on that?

I think Obama's intentions are for the best of the country and when he finds out how the puppet show works it's going to be a sad day for America. I don't see us coming off oil anytime soon - president Obama or not. Someone should read "The Energy Non Crisis".

I agree, Barack himself stated that it's going to take 10 years.

Are there any parties that have a plan that seems like it would get us out in less?

It takes time to build and develop things. Nothing happens overnight.
