Are you allowed to sell your free hosted blogs from blogger? I mean, if you bought your own domain and everything.

I think Google does not allow this. However, it can be done easily by adding a secondary account to manage the blog and then remove yourself.

Selling it is not allowed. But people always find ways to 'Sell / buy' blogspot blogs. I've heard G takes strict action if they get to know that a blogspot is being sold .. but on a serious note, how will they ever know ? :D

IMO it's not allowed. And also if you are going to sell it here in DP I think It's also not allowed coz in my understanding it's more like you are selling an account. :D

I guess he is trying to say he bought his own domain name and get it hosted in Blogger platform?

If it is as what I have interpreted your message, then yes you can sell the blog because you own the domain name.

On the other hand, if your domain url is as such yoursite.blogspot.com then you can't sell the blog off because it belongs to Google. This should give you the answer to your question I guess.

If you have a 3rd party managing the domain name, you should be able to use something like Wordpress to export the posts from Blogspot and simply switch the DNS entries to the new server for the domain.

Don't sell the blogspot blog, sell the content and the domain name.

    Oh ok.

So if I had a blogspot blog, BUT I bought a domain for it and the domain is like www.myblog.com, then I can sell it?

Your SE rankings & potential duplicate content issues are tied to the domain name. The only way switching the host could hurt you is if the IP of the server you move to is red-flagged for spam or something.

Technically it is probably not allowed, but in reality you could always transfer it to another google account and do it anyway.

Yes you can sell it. This is because you bought the domain but you just hosted it on blogger platform.

It has been done openly. But technically speaking, I've never heard of people complained before that the blog were penalized once it's sold.

That's not what I mean. What I mean is, your blog is free hosted on Blogger, BUT you have bought your own domain name and you're using it for your free blog.

If you sell the domain and the database with your posts which can easily be imported to a Word Press platform then you can sell it. You can not sell the blog itself which means the new owner can not just take over the blogger account. It has been done before but if caught the account is deleted.

Best thing to do if you plan to sell a blog like that is to transfer the blog posts over to a self hosted Wordpress blog and sell it like that. You would get more for it and easily pay yourself back for the small cost of hosting.
