After digg submission,you can do is try your best to get as much as digg to hit the digg front page. And you can do some social bookmarking
First make sure you have good content so that way when you do get visitors they'll have something good to read. Post your articles in Bookmarking sites. (digg, delicious, reddit, fave, etc...) Post in forums with your blog in your signature but post good comments. Don't spam. you want to have a good reputation. Good Luck!

Study about RSS. Study about sitemap. Submit RSS as sitemap. Start from acquiring 10 backlinks per day and increase it as you go on with your blogging career. Create connections with successful bloggers.
Just try to comment on many releated blogs and update your blog every day. You will see result quickly.
