    I think it's still a year or more away, if you can wait for it but if you really need a new OS they go get the vista ultimate ;)

    Nobody knows when are they planning to release the newest version. I heard that you can't use it on pirated copy of software and games and this is the reason why I won't be using it.

    I will advise you to get Vista if you want a recent Microsoft OS. They might be talking about Windows 7, but if they said it will be launch in 2010, it might be 2013. They are always behind what they said, same happen to XP and Vista, so if I was you, I will not wait.
