    Exactly, I was under the opinion that the Dems would have said anything to get elected. Hasn't Obama changed about 5 stances on various topic from the time he started running until now? :rolleyes:

    I want to second what GTech said. It is historic. Last night, while watching the election results, I was blown away by the emotion and comments of so many African American's, especially those who are older and had experienced so many of the problems and issues that have confronted our nation and which they directly faced. Many around the world have been wowed by this aspect of the election.

    Its an astounding sea change of attitude. I'm older than most in DP. I never would have imagined the US electing an African American in my life time. Truly historical, truly astounding. All Americans should be proud that we have this capacity to deal with our problems, allow the world to witness them, and move forward. Its a wonderful redemptive quality of the US.
