Channels in Adsense are great as they can show you values of clicks for different parts of your site.

    Do you use Channels?

And How many do you have for 1 site?

    Definitely use channels.

I have some set up by different areas of the site, and others set up for different areas on a page and size of ad, etc. All handy information to see what monetizes the best.

Earlier i didnt used but now i am using channel for each website, and further breaking down the channels to each adsense units on website. It helps a lot in analyzing the performance of ads based on position.

1 channel per ad really helps to get the right placement over some time.

Aboslutely! I like to try out a LOT of different placements... I've noticed that even the smallest changes can impact my earnings.

This is why I like to track each placement separately (each placement gets separate channel).

I've got about 50 channels set up so far, just about every new ad I put on my site gets it's own channel.

I can't understand why anyone would NOT use channels. It helps you fine tune your ad placements and can help you see the need to tweak the content to get ads that are more targeted to your users.

Eh.. some people are just lazy, and want to be able to just slap some ads up and make some money instantly.

For a few people, this might work, but the vast majority of publishers will need to test various positions to figure out how to earn best.
