Let's Build Something

Is anyone interested in creating CF based tools and releasing them to the community? Are there any requests for tools you think would be really cool to have built?

 

You mean like CFLib? Or more larger scale ie PHPBB3 but a CF version?

 

I was thinking tools specifically geared toward internet marketing.

For instance, I have a generator that automatically creates code for catfish ads (the kind that pop up from the bottom). I have javascript I use for site translations. A script that grabs images from one site, resizes them, watermarks them, and FTP's them somewhere else.

Stuff like that.

This would be the place that I would start up projects to be used in the community.

 

Yeah, I use RIAforge. I was bringing it up here to get ideas that are internet marketing based. By 'community', I meant online earners instead of CF coders.

 

I like the Idea of Forum, but that seems very massive in a sense that it would take months. Plus you would need dedicated programmers that would stay to until a stable release can be made.

I have seen a lot of project started but failed at the end.

I have two domain that I wanted to build something cool (adultIdle.com and 5own.com) both are just siting waiting for ideas.

 

I'm just going to release the stuff that I build when it's ready.

 

I am more toward community style project. Anyone that wants to build a ColdFusion group and form a nice community then i would welcome that suggestion.

I Will Start The Project, Will Prepare The Modules But I Will Need Your Help Guys In Preparing The Stuff.

Hey robhustle and the rest of you guys. I'm a decent cf developer myself. I have a dedicated server with sql server 2005, coldfusion 8 w/ lcds. I'm more of an adobe flex/air guy. I think the combination of those can make awesome tools. I've always been interested in making tools in cf/flex and selling them to IMers. PM me your sns or reply here and we'll set something up.
