Okay december 2012 will be the month of everything:

- The magnetic poles will turn (north becomes south and vise versa). During this event the earth won't turn and the magnetic field will disappear (or: it's a few days night or day and everything in the sun dies of deadly radiation). They already have begun to shift, every year the magnetic northpole moves 100 meter towards south.


- Galactic alignment. The moon is in orbit around the earth (28 days). the earth around the sun (1 year), the sun around the milky way (2 million years) and the milky way around 'something' (225 million years). All these objects, together with Venus, will be in one line. Also, the 26,000 year cycle of the earth has ended, all at the same day. In 1980 an alignment like this (but with far less impact) resulted in an increase of 10,000% of the magnetic field of uranus!!!!

- Mayan calendar ends. The 13,000 year calendar of the mayas will end, and a new 13,000 year cycle will start (0.0.0.0.0).

- Previous happenings of that mayan calendar:

13,000 years ago the iceage ended
26,000 years ago neandertalers extincted
39,000 years ago the 'cro magnon' humans appeared
52,000 years ago the aboriginals appeard

- It's happening already

- since 1975 vulcanic activity has increased with 500%!!!
- the magnetic field of the sun has increased with 210%
- the magnetic field of the earth decreased with 50% in the last 4,000 years. 10% of that was in the last 5 years
- in the past 200 years our magnetic poles have shifted over 1,100 km
- Between 1963 and 1993 there has been an increase in natural disasters of 410%


- Oh my god.. electronics..

Because a foton belt in our milky way and the decreasing magnetic field the energy level of our planet increases. All our electronics will suffer from that and eventually brake.. no more pc, internet, cellphone, etc...

Well, I knew that, so I suppose the question was rhetorical. They can last millenia and predict the future but they can't handle a few muskets or blankets from some nice guys on horseback?

The Mayan's break everything down into cycles... And Dec. 21, 2012 is the beginning of a new cycle that’s something like 35,000 years long... According to the Mayan's, near the very end of a 35,000 year cycle, the earth goes through some major earth changes, prior to the beginning of the new cycle... The new cycle beginning on Dec 21, 2012 is supposed to be an age of peace, with no wars, a golden age...

 

Anyone knows what will happen this year 2006 according to the Maya Calender? Because I don't want to wait 6 years just because to see if this is true or not. Does the Mayan Calender mention something about June 6(666) etc?

But the mayan version of the date. Personally I saw on a site a half year ago that 2006 will be the year when reasonable logic gets corrupted according to the Mayan Calender. Many interesting things will happen. However, it's hard to get details so you know what you should be looking for.

 

Most of the great Mayan cities were abandoned near 900 A.D. That culture was dying long before the Spaniards came,...they just replaced the remnants with their own.
