    Hiy,

I'm a complete newbie and really struggle at the same beginning. I got through some php tutorials and there's a lot of things about installing php, apache etc. Do I really need to install those things. How can I get started?

    thanks,
    Simon

Its really easy to install php and apache. If u r having some problem in installing these, then you can use some installers that will ease your work. You need to set up a localhost to check the php (server side) working.

So actually I can do it without installig php on my PC, but it would be a bit of hassle to send my scripts to the server. So its better to do it all on my PC.

if you face any problems, try using packages like xampp for installing Apache and PHP on locahost.

just use package like xampp / wamp like inoxhost said, one-click installed & running.

This will make your work easier because those package include PHP , mySQL, apache, phpmyadmin, and more.
