I decided to just take a loss and had them terminate immediately. I don't care so much for PR but I want to stay in Google search results.
But I'm wondering something.. Doesn't Google dislike paid text links in general regardless so cancelling TLA wont necessarily make a difference if you're still selling text ads? Or it's that TLA is just easiest to detect so it's easy pickings for them...
Thanks for asking this for me I am still unaware of the damage that things can do to your site so always doing your research helps out Thanks will stay away from them then
I do not sell links at all on my site now. But what I have been told, it's easy to detect the cod TLA uses.
From newbie Publisher point of view, I've added several pr0 sites .. earning over 30-40$/month for each site...
I think it's that your PR drops when you PUBLISH TLA ads on your site. If you are an ADVERTISER and you buy ads, you are not going to be penalized with a PR drop. Anyway, even though I had a bad experience with Digital Co-Op ads network, I am only using similar link networks like TNX, Receivelinks, and Direct-Link-Ads now.. Eric
I make good money from TLA.. Yes.. I got penalize a few month ago.. Since PR didn't mean anything for me, its not problem for me.. I just penalize for PR not SE..
Well i would not sell through them, but I have used them for some clients, and they are working pretty well. However I only buy the odd one or two to get some quick links for new customers until I have built up some natural ones, then I drop them. On average I use them for about 2 - 3 months. I would not promote a whole site with them though. And be careful with hich ones you use.
Been using them for a year or so, the site did not get penalized and the PR stayed what is was, 4 Always paid on time and got fast replies to every support I needed, one of the best support services I encountered. I decided to remove it since google traffic had a major boost lately and adsense brings up more for that site. How can google detect the TLA code when you name the widget something neutral ? How could they see it in the source code ???
