One way vs two way backlinks

    Hi,

I've got one problem. I can't decide what to choose. To take 6 two way backlinks (General link exchange. I put 6 website's backlink on my website and get 6 backlink from that sites).
OR I should take 3 same quality backlinks but it would be one way backlinks.
Maybe some one could help me to choose. I'm interested in your opinion, what would you choose?

    Thanks

One way back links are what really matters

If you do reciprocal linking then it will just cancel each other out when it comes to passing "link Juice" (PR)

Reciprocal linking does not cancel the links out. This is just a sales line from someone selling one-way links. He doesn't know what he's talking about. Reciprocal links can still help.

I think that anytime you can create any kind of back link that a searchengine spider will acknowledge , than that is good. Plus, it shouldnt hurt to create a little extra exposure.
If I am wrong feel free to correct me.

One way links are always stronger, but 2 way links are still very good. The problem with two way is that they steal a little bit of your link juice.

Unless the links bring traffic they are only good for search optimization and if they don't have good page rank just get them and don't worry to much about it! If they are page rank 5 or above then I would try hard to get them otherwise they won't make or break your efforts so don't spend to much time deciding! Relevant links are best but there are hundreds of free directories you can submit too as well!

One way BL is better always. Even 1 quality one way BL is better than 6 two way links

I think you have to choose the 3 Quality one way back links. It's better than the 6 two way back links.

1 way links are best, but reciprocal links are still useful - try it out you'll see.

IMO One way link building is the best. If you are getting same benefits of 2 way link building from one way than you should prefer one way.

OOOOOOOh my friend, you must be living in the Dark Ages to make such a statement... Google has been able to recognize reciprocal linking for several years now!

    for vstar:

I built site that have only 2-way links from links pages (not from website content) and no other links (no forum links, no blog links, no articles, no website directories) and I still rank for quite competitive keywords with them. I might not be first, but it's enough to get me the required traffic from Search Engines.

As for the topic starter, I too confirm that if I'd have to choose I'd also choose 1 way links, if possible from relevant(same topic) sites.

As per Google's quality guidelines: “Don’t participate in link schemes designed to increase your site’s ranking or PageRank"

You can probably guess that Google does consider reciprocal links for PageRank purposes to be outside of their quality guidelines.

I've participated in many different linking schemes in the past and I have managed to elude Google for a long time, even as long as a couple of years, however, Google always seems to catch up eventually.

Yes, I agree because search engines give more weigh or importance on one-way links.
