Dammit, got an annoying migrane (term is overused but earned its' keep here!)

Make it better than I'm looking at the computer screen? NO! Dark room just staring at the screen - Probably led to the headache (days on end) but what can I do...lol

So is there some type of home remedy that involves just my brain, no tools...yikes!

Maybe self-hypnosis or something like that? Nothing worse then being sick, freezing, and having a migrane! Dammit the hotel does not even have heat!!!

    Ranting I guess...lol

    /Rant

Are there any home remedies for headaches?

Home remedies that help me providing I start before migraine is in full bloom.

Caffeine and lots of it. If you do a Google search it will give you the reasons why it works, off hand I think it has something to do with making the blood vessels shrink.

Another trick (some doctor on tv mentioned this one) is to put your tongue to the roof of your mouth for a few seconds, try that a couple of times, again something to do with shrinking the blood vessels.

Hope it goes away soon, nothing worse than a migraine :)

Heal a headache by getting a bedache? Nah I think it'd intensify the migrane.

Time to swallow a bottle of pills and drink the gin I found in between the motel matresses!

    Lol :p

    Bedache?

Well, I don't know what you were thinking but I was thinking of having someone rub your temples while you lay on the bed in a dark, quiet room.

    :D

Silly rabbit, don't you know tricks are for kids!

That's what I'd be saying to the prostitute since they call it "tricks" lol

Well I am fine to rub my own temples in the dark, but I think someone else may accidently poke my eye out. :(

workathomeshop's trick of putting your tongue to the roof of your mouth does work. I am constantly having issues with headaches, migraines, and neck pain. It seems to work most of the time. If it doesn't go get a massage. I'm not kidding, it's the best $60-$80 you can spend. Once a month keeps them away for the most part.

    Good Luck~

Yea, I've tried every excedrin out ther and while the extra strength migraine version does work it's so freakin' temporary. When you go and they ask about what you're looking for tell them to use that thumb trick underneath the "smart bump" on the back of your head.

I believe mine come from sitting in front of a computer all day and changing positions which obviously hurts your body's alignment. I've got a pillow behind me now.

When the lady rubs that area though I can feel a tingle shoot from there to the middle of my back. Obviously nerves and that, but I hope it does wonders for you.

Got work to do but it kicked in after being up for like 4 hours.

Could it be tuna withdrawls? I only had 1 can in the last 24 hours (compared to 20 cans in the previous 5 days)

Better go to the doctor and check that out. It might be a symptom or something.

yup, the story of my life...headache is a problem for me and I'm tired of taking aspirins all the time, so I try some natural remedies...the peppermint oil is so great! you'll need just 2 or 3 drops on your forehead and a gentle massage for some minutes and the pain will go away...trust me :)

when I am having migraines I usually have someone massage my head then a little sleep...sometimes, our head or rather our brains get stressed out from our daily routines that's why I have mine massage once a week or twice a month
