This might be a stupid way of doing it, but when I used Blogger, I backed up my blog at Wordpress.com because they have the option of importing from Blogger. I don't know of an automated way of doing it, but it's fairly easy using Wordpress.com's import option.

I've heard that sometimes Blogger blogs just disappear, so it's always nice to have a copy. I'm sorry that I'm not more informed or researched on this, but I don't use Blogger anymore so there's no need for me to know it. I would suggest doing some searching around on Google.

Look to see if there's a way to download your blog in XML or CSV format from Blogger. XML would be preferred. If you have a custom domain, you may want to consider getting a hosting account and just converting your blog over to self-hosted Wordpress altogether. You can pick up hosting here on the forums for as low as a couple bucks a month. Food for thought.

Backups are much easier with Wordpress, not to mention customization is through the roof. I used to not believe it when I had my Blogger blog, but it's true. Think about it.

In blogger, first I make a copy of the HTML code

Then under Settings, I set it up to email myself a copy of each post.

Kind of a backwards way of doing it but so far the only one I've come across

For Blogspot just login to http://draft.blogger.com

There in settings you will find an option to import blog posts it just take a back up of all posts in xml fle in case your blog deleted just upload that xml file to new blog all posts will be published on new blog.
