I've looked through the inventory and OMG I've never seen so much crap put together in my life! I mean WOW!

I think it's a whole skill on it's own to find something to sell on clickbank...

Internet Marketing... It doesn't matter what you are selling, it's how you sell it.

yes there IS a lot of crap, but 80% being crap means that there is 20% of GREAT quality niche stuff on there, too. You just need to look.
I thought like you when i started with Clickbank...but now i know better. CB can be a goldmine!

no, i agree with kinitex, and its well said.

it's all how you sell it,or anything for that matter. that's marketing 101.

whats that saying? sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves.:p

or, take that 80% of crap, pick one(theres many) that has potential, and launch your own product in the niche. that facet of clickbank is a goldmine in itself. everything has opportunity if you look at it from a different point of view. that's just my 2c

I have to say that it DOES matter what is is but NOT as much as the packaning. I have made 40+ sales in the last month and had ZERO charge backs!

I think most people are too lazy to get their money back, even for sub standard products! And I may be 'more than usual greedy' but that's ok by me!

As long as there's crap available to buy, people will buy it.

It's the same as those infomercials on tv, they're all a load of crap, i wouldnt buy any of it, but obviously everyone else does.

Imagine if you're promoting 1000 really crap products, 750 of them don't sell at all, 250 you sell one copy. You've sold 250 products at an average of $30 that = $LOTS

To be honest, everything which is sold on Clickbank can be found and done at completely no cost.

However, majority of people like when everything is nicely presented in one product. That's why they buy....Especially, when they are "warmed up" by affiliates

agree ... time is money and is these crazy times a lot of people are no longer craving the success of having found the solution themselves ... they are quite happy to pay to save themselves time and effort ... who are we to argue :)

A large majority is rubbish but as already mentioned people love to buy rubbish. Quick fix solutions that make them rich, or so they believe.

The vast majority of clickbank products are information and the value of information does not necessarily come from the fact that its unique and cant be found anywhere else but from the fact that it comes in the form: "here it is all together, step by step, you don't need anything else".

Also, there are some stuff in the marketplace that satisfy the weirdest niches, but that´s value for someone out there, and for those small niches the Internet is the only profitable way of distribution. I recommend reading "The long tail" by Chris Anderson.

That is definitely true... As long as the product is about Money making, PPC success, Self improvement, so called dating secrets or some miracle on health, people still buy the products... I have seen some of the crappiest products with a high gravity ....

yes, you do have to spend a lot of time finding the perfect killer...

As a potential new publisher on Clickbank, I'd like your opinion on if you think the following will sell. The product is software that creates encrypted drives in 'My Computer' where you can encrypt and hide data.

The website for CB is www.v1stacrypt.com (please change 1 to i in the site name) and I'm trying to get it approved just now.

It's in test mode so you can simulate a purchase to look at the 'thank-you' page as well.

The price is planned to be at 69.95, commission at 61%, and yes, I know the copy/graphics need to be improved. I wrote what's there myself, and I'm looking to hire someone in the next couple days to do it properly.

    I'd like an opinion on
    1) Is Clickbank a good place to do this for this product
    2) As experienced affiliates, would you sell this if you saw it in the marketplace
    3) Pricing and Commission - is it appropriate?
    4) Any other observations or suggestions.

And if you know a good CB-specific copywriter that would be awesome!

As already mentioned several times, there are a lot of crap products on clickbank.

However, we are the lucky ones. We are exposed to many publishers right here that produce quality products. Many of these publishers continue to produce more products or fine tune their one product.

If you are looking for quality products, try Swerd's E4E, NCmedias multiple products, My products in my sig, or any number of quality publishers right here on DP. (Sorry I know there are a lot of great publishers on here that I am failing to mention by name.)

So my advice is to work backwards. Find the publisher then go with the products.

It might be rubbish for you but it is gold for others. Just market it and try to sell it. If it does not build up popularity in the market then its a crap.

Not everyone have the time to search for these information online, and they were actually expecting something special when they made the payment.
