Best directory script /for this situation/

I need a directory script that will work with Paypal, and can handle one time payments as well as monthly subscriptions.

The script only needs to handle between 75 and 150 links. Banner ads / Logos on each site page would be nice. SEF Urls are not needed. The script should be easily customizable to fit into my current site design (I am moderate to high proficiency in modifying scripts for this).

I prefer to spend nothing obviously, but would rather go with a script that will have longer term support. I looked at PHPmydirectory for $100, but it may be a bit much for what I need.

Any advice or pointers are taken graciously.

It's $75 and I get free updates only for the current version #

... and you have to pay to get into the forum ?

What are the advantages of phpld to phpmydir in my situation?

Oh, 2.0 is free? Neat, I will check that out.

As for paying to get into the forum, this is on the front page:

I can see paying for access to mods and extras... but fixes?

Maybe extra help but all you have to do is go to forum and look at a few threads in the "mods" section and you'll see mods and stuff.

    Hello,

Did you check phpMyDirectory? It's the best business directory script, IMHO. For only $99 a lifetime license, & gaining access to support forums & Helpdesk. Here's one made by the software, which I like very much: yellowpai.com

I thought that all directory scripts have these features, not only phpMyDirectory. But I would particularly recommend www.Esyndicat.com :)

Actually hulo's post #6 shows that not all directory scripts provide free access to support forums included with a purchase. :)

Anyway, I really think PMD shouldn't regarded as a links directory; & I doubt it's being developed for this. PMD is a business directory which allows business owners to list their business name, contacts, products/services, images in a neat & organized way. It also has an advanced top/side banner advertising system.

All these features aren't available in eSyndicat, which is a more of an advanced links directory than a business listing directory.

Every script seems to serve it's own audience.

Just as a matter of exchanging knowledge, how did you sort those scripts in the above order in regard of their pros & cons?

If that question is for me, I based it based on my personal experience. I am using them all, apart from the SiteSift.com script CPLinks and CPDynaLinks, IndexScript etc.
