I am planning to start soccer/football blog.. Not sure which one should i prefer.. 'Soccer' or 'Football' in my domain.. Please give some idea for me..
footbal is the right word for it! Europe would never say soccer....specially in england! I was raised in Germany and now live i Utah! Call it football!
Funny that.....here in Ireland 'football' to gaelic football even though the irish are mad about soccer aswell In Britain......I doubt you'll here the word soccer used very often!!!
SOCCER is used just by americand because their Football is "rugby" . So if you arent going to make the website for americans [what I doubt, because there isnt so popular] use "football" . Football, and I love it

The majority of the plantet know it as football. So unless it's going to be just for the US, it as to be football.
Who are you aiming the site at? If the site is going to predominantly English football news, then go for football, but if the site is going to be a blog based around football/soccer in America, then go for soccer. It really depends on who your target audience is.
I'm sorry none English people but calling the beautiful game "soccer" makes my blood boil... Back on topic - if your targeting England (google.co.uk) go for football, otherwise soccer I reckon....
Football. Remember, America in general doesn't care about soccer (unfortunately), so I doubt you'd be getting more traffic from US people typing in "soccer" than the latter.
Football Football Football !! Although the whole world is becoming 'Americanised' and even in England we know what soccer is/stands for I would go for football as the whole of Europe uses it.
