Is it true using Vitamin C supplement has a bad effect for those people who smokes? Is it really cancerous for smokers?
I Dident know we have dr's here anway dr. Google answered : http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...=1&q=VITAMIN+C+Bad+effect+for+Smokers&spell=1
I already did that before posting it. I'm just a little confused because some sites say they do some say they don't have effect.
Stop smoking then Vitamine C will be healthy for you. I quit smoking in 2001 after over 40 years. You can too
There is no bad effects of vitamin c in smokers. Vitamin c helps in reconstruction of damaged tissue and so there can be no bad effects of it. It is good to take vitamin c, because it is a water soluble vitamin and if taken excess it just passes through urine and does no harm.
I don't think Vitamin C will aggravate the health problem of the smoker when taken at the recommended level.
I can stop it for weeks but I can't really stop it when I'm waiting. I feel like the clock ticks slower when I'm not smoking. I'm really not comfortable to wait without lighting a stick of cigar.
From everything I've read over many, many years about smoking and Vitamin C, The reports ALL said that if you smoke you SHOULD take Vit. C to counteract the harmful effects of smoking. Smoking depletes the body of liquids, vitamins, nutrition, etc. I also read somewhere that smoking can kill you. Now, where did I read that? Oh yeah, it's on the cigarette package.
really surprised to know. i m heavy smoker smoke around 7 - 8 cigs daily. i m rubbing lemon juice daily on my face and lips to make it healthy still no problem on my face
dude if you have any problem because of smoking , then start drinking cow milk and quit coffee. drink tea daily atleast 2 cups (remember not to drink after 30 min of smoking ) No problem at all. hmm my father smokes from last 25 years daily and he is very healthy and he is not even doing exercise .
There's an enormous amount of confusion on subjects like this. The confusion arises mostly because some antioxidants (and Vitamin C is, of course, an anti-oxidant vitamin) take away some of the "free radicals" that prevent some of the carcinogens in cigarette smoke from making cells cancerous. That's why Beta-Carotene supplements are so bad for smokers: Beta-Carotene actually increases the incidence of lung cancer in smokers, by removing too many free radicals. It's not that the Vitamin C (or the Beta-Carotene) is causing cancer. It's the fact that it's removing free radicals. And free radicals (contrary to popular belief) actually have their advantages as well as their disadvantages. They're anti-bacterial, and although they can promote cancers on their own, some of them can also help to prevent cancers by disabling oncogenic toxins. And in any case none of us would be alive without them.
Just because there is no visible signs of illness doesn't mean he's healthy. Smoking, plus lack of physical exercise, will get him an early grave.
My grandfather stared smoking since he was a teen but not too much. When he turned 50's he's smoking 2 pack of cigar (60 Sticks) a day and he still reach the age of 70s near 80s. Maybe he even reaches the age of 80s if he was not shot
well there is no harm in asking a doctor if the information is true, may be this helps those who are taking this.
