    Another question,
    what's the difference between regular VPS and DDoS protected VPS?
    I know what DDoS attack is, but the protected ones are more expansive though the bandwidth is limited.
    How do you protect them from DDoS attacks? Do you manually do upstream filtering?
    I'm going to run a search engine, do you think I need the protected one or not?

    Regular VPS is not DDoS Protected guaranteed, its just secured with DDoS protection software. DDoS Protected VPS is 100% guaranteed DDoS Protected as it is using a cisco ddos protected router. DDoS Guaranteed VPS is good for IRC or websites that get DDoS'ed a lot.
