Paypal just closed my account with £140 in, isnt this theft?

You probably get threads like this all the time but..

Paypal closed my account out of the blue without any reason with £140 in it.
They say that I had received more than £650 that year, when that 140 is the only amount I had ever received.
Is there some special way to communicate with the idiots at PayPal? Or a loop hole? Or something?
    Thanks for any help.

Under EU Regulation, they would need to get to know you better before allowing you to proceed further and thus when you hit certain dollar amount, they will limit your account. At which time, you are just supposed to submit your government issued photo ID and utility bill and once verified the limitation would be lifted.

Make sure that you have your account properly verified and that you have done everything above board and follow all the basic business documentation in your dealing.

Paypal is like that. If you get too much money flowing through your account too quickly they'll limit or permanently limit your account. Did they request you to send them any of your personal info or did they send you the dreaded "We will continue to end our business relationship" email? (which basically means your permanently suspended).

Even they close your account, you can still withdraw your money. Take a look at your account first before you make a thread.

I'm pretty sure they dont allow this although it depends if your account is "limited" or closed. If it is closed I think they will send you any remaining balance in your account after 3-6 months.
