I want to switch to direct deposit because I just got my 3rd check in a row from clickbank in 6 weeks. My question is that are there any drawbacks to it? I still haven't had any refunds, do they immediately just take the money out of your account if there is a refund? If that's the case I may be better off sticking to checks, I wasn't sure how it worked.
The only drawback is you dont get to take pictures of those big fat checks or show them off to people. Other than that direct deposit works the exact same, except you get paid every tuesday like clockwork. No they dont withdraw anything. Refunds will come out of future payments to you.
ACH / Direct deposit is defintely more convenient and better... plus they can not just take the refunds out of your bank a/c..
No drawbacks, it's all good - I love direct deposit. Any refunds are taken out of your Clickbank account rather than your bank account.
I have never heard of the $35 charge, they only charge me the same $2.50 they used to charge when I used to receive payment by check
My question, for you guys getting large direct deposits, are the funds available immediately? I still get paper checks (I'm old school like that and since I live close to Idaho, I get them in the mail on Thursday) but since the "economic crisis" my bank (Bank of America) says they can take up to five days for the funds to clear since the checks total over $5000. Therefore, I've been forced to go to Wells Fargo and cash the checks and then deposit them at BOA. Anyone else experiencing anything like this? Are you large direct deposit guys having funds available the same day? Cashing the checks and then depositing them is a pain because they have to fingerprint me at Wells, etc. The whole process takes about an hour. It's a time waster. Scotty
I'm in the UK and my funds are available within 24 hours (usually by Thursday morning here) - it used to take anything from 6-14 days for a check to arrive though.
