I was surfing some pages and I saw in the upper corner of the page an ad that looks like a page of a magazine and when you mouse over it it folds and reveals, what is this type of ad? thanks!
Correct, it's a peel away ad. Very nifty stuff. I seriously doubt their claim about increasing revenue by 50%, but it can have a positive impact for sure. We use it on several sites and it seems to be effective. Official website: http://www.peelawayads.com
I think peel away ads is not a program, but a script that can be installed on your site to make peel away ads with your own advertisement
I came across this today, never tried it myself but worth a look http://www.dougbelshaw.com/2008/01/26/page-peel-script/ Phil
If you look around you might be able to grab a free peel-away script. Not as functional perhaps, but cheaper.
hey its peel away ads its very attractive i want to implement in my website also but is there any drawbacks for peel ads please tell me guys.
I was just mailed this link by from a mailing list I'm on. Free Peel-Away Ad software - http://www.peeladsoftware.com/secretdoor/
I've seen the peel away ads. They are kind of neat but I think as more people use them, they're going to get sort of annoying.
It's definitely peeled-away advertisement and they don't bother you as long as you don't get your mouse pointers anywhere near them.
