Not Getting Any Traffic

I'm fairly new to this and I just can't figure out why I don't get any traffic to my sites. I am using several email marketing sites as well as a classified submitter. I have put up blogs,Squidoo,backlinks etc. I don't understand why I am not getting clicks to my site when these emails are supposed to be going to 2.3 million people. Should I not get 10 or 20 people clicking? Maybe I don't understand how this works. Is a page impression the same thing as a click? I have alot to learn, where do I go to learn all these terms?

 

Well email marketing is EXTREMELY ineffective when not marketed correctly. You could spend far less money and get far better return doing any number of different marketing techniques.

First, we will need to know about your site! What is it about? What is the address? How are you getting backlinks?

 

I have 3 websites which I purchased from a company. They are satellite dish sites. Backlinks? Whats are they. Sorry i'm a total newb.

 

Sometimes if the emails are going out to 2.3 million people it may not even get through the spam filters. Many of the isps block emails sent in bulk

 

Contact proper SEO consultant> That can guide You what to to for great traffic. use google awords if You have some budget.

Backlinks are when someone adds a link from their site to your site. I have a section on my forum where people can add backlinks to their site if they have an events related site.

 

email market is like spamming, I hate it.do you like it? how can you get traffic from it?

 

So these companys that say your mail is going out to that may people, doesn't even go out at all? How do I unblock these isps. Are these a rip off sites, should I not bother with sending emails out using these companys? They cost me 20 bucks for life. I see why they were so cheap.

 

Its not necessarily a rip off as i dont know all the facts but you could be better off building up your own list of customers and asking them if they would be happy if you sent out the occassional email about your satellite dishes

 

I personally do not recommend you buy the email list from some other ppl/company...It is like spamming other people's email !

Id be happy to build a list but I need customers to do that don't I? So first I have to get some traffic somehow. I have used this ad submitter and recieved 6 to 7 clicks the first day but after that I don't get anymore.Thats a far cry from people on here that are getting 1000's to there sites. I thought with emailing it would get out to lots of people.

Well based on your post, not withstanding your squidoo efforts, you might as well be throwing your money out the window.

A link would help get a viable answer from someone. Otherwise, you will continue to get a range of regurgitated info from people.

Buying email list is highly not recommended. The reason is simple, you are probably purchasing an email list that has already been bombarded with thousands of people like you.

Email marketing can be effective if you have:
- Quality email list
- Good copy writing / Quality email that's easy for people to read, convinces and pushes people with call to action(s).

 

Emails going out to 2.3 million people sound like throwing a stick of dynamite in a large lake and hoping to end up with some lunch - it's not very targeted, and if someone does stumble onto your site, would the visit be worth anything? You say you've put up blogs and Squidoo lenses. Are these pages getting any traffic? And if they do, is the text written in such a way as to entice the reader to find out more, i.e. visit one of your three sites? You can also write articles and submit them to article directories, but again, it's not a miracle cure - the articles must be written in way that would make people click through to your site(s) for more information.

 

A page impression has nothing to do with a click:

click through: When a user clicks a link a visits your website from another webpage.
page impression: Is the number of times a page is viewed within a website.

For example 1 user came to your website and sees 5 pages. This means you had 1 click through and 5 pages impressions
