Google update algo? Linkbuilding hit"

we've been blogging about this Google update on its way since last weekend, looks like we might be right. google groups confirm linkbuilding hit

 

yes lots of keywords ranking will be fluctuate and no where in rank

 

We use only white hat methods, so we don't have to worry

 

I am observing this movements since some weeks too, but I am not sure if it's a "linkbuilding hit" as my linkbuilding throughout the last weeks seems not affected (but that might happen soon). There is certainly something more happening behind the scene, like google pages freezing, even google blogs, account pages, adsense, analytics ...; looks like they have technical problems with their changes too.

 

hopefully youre right Andrei, but it doesnt always work like that. if it's an algo or links tweak it will quite likely have web wide effects

 

Tell me that again when your pages are affected, sure good onpage optimization is usually a factor that helps to be less concerned but not a guarantee.

 

Is Keyword bidding changing also?

 

I didn't know anything about an upcoming change until I read this. However, I did notice that A LOT of my keywords for one of my sites dropped a lot. I did not do anything significant with it that should cause a negative impact. In fact, although this site is my main source of income, it has not been my main focus lately. Hopefully, they will come back. I notice a lot of fluctuation on this site since I monitor so many search phrases for it. So, each time I check, some are up and some are down. However, it just seemed like this time, more were significantly down than usual.

 

Well I have noticed for the first time that my sitemaps in webmaster tools were all pending, I have many sites all with a pending status. Normally the sitemap updates happen daily without issues.

 

I seem to be experiencing the same problems with my site - ranked #3 yesterday, and #33 today (sometimes at least).

I see some comments on the page provided above like:
"I stopped link building years ago, thank God! "

It was always my understanding that you where supposed to build links?

 

Yes most of sites results are fluctuate.

 

when you get that + / - 30 effect you're just getting intermittent readings from both indexes, and of course the weekend index is in effect again now.

compare the rest of the results on both indexes when you get the chance.

are they radically different?

Interesting updates, i have seen changes in the ranking during the last two/three days.. but it's back to normal now!

 

Since two months seeing too much issues with Google. What happend i dont know, hearing daily many -ve news about G. Really i wonder bcz m targeting only on Google

Yea, they are both pretty different (from what I can remember from yesterday). Today we jumped up to #2 . . . hope we can keep it

 

I was finally gaining more traffic from google for the past 2 weeks but ever since yesterday my traffic has dropped
