I don't see that many people promoting Shop.com and Buy.com - or maybe I just haven't been very observant. I guess the commissions aren't that amazing, but they have huge inventories - aren't they worth plugging into, especially via the API? They are easy to sign up for too. Just wondering...
Yes, the commissions aren't that amazing, 3% only. I get Buy.com products from the API. Anyways, if you want to advertise something do not join advertisers whos commission is under 10%. Good example: Buy.com Sale: 108.52 € Commission: 3.26 € OtherAdvertiser Sale: 15.65 € Commission: 2.35 € See the difference? I wonder which adverister I'd better advertise.
I'll resort to SHOP or BUY when they have something I can't get from another affiliate. But Greny is totally right. 3% is really little. Even Amazon will give you more than that -- 4% at the starter level, and it is easy to get to 6.5%.
Sure - makes sense I guess... As long as I can find the same range of products elsewhere for a better commission, I guess the decision is obvious. It's just that it's all very well getting a 40% commission or something, but no use if that advertiser doesn't have the dog shaving kit (or whatever) I want. Well, I will have a fiddle with the API and see what else comes up!
i have joined at buy.com and gived little commission. But $10k sales that i make will give me $3k at month
