Yea, some of my WP posts are indexed very fast, but others take hours... Anyway, I guess Google is indexing new blog pages so fast the same way they do for news-related domains. Otherwise, the content would be irrelevant by the time it gets indexed...
Just connect your blog rss to Feedburner for example, they ping Google as well. I'm using it on my Joomla CMS site, and new articles are indexed within 10 minutes
yes, and i had successfully tested it. It dose works, even the forums like smf which has poor indexing rate in google, worked good with this plan. feedburner is good, it has the options to ping a lot of sites, helps a lot. pingoat.com is also good for pinging, i use it to ping once in a while!
It has nothing to do with WP. Articles are indexed quickly if you have functional and regularly updated sitemaps, plus I would assume the usual basics - frequently updated site, good linking structure, etc.
Excellent that is very nice to know.. I was unsure which CMS to use .. either Wordpress or Joomla.. seems WP has won out.
Google uses this for its blogsearch service. The aim is to display the last minute blog articles on the daily/breaking news. Actually your posts are indexed within the same minute in blogsearch, it might take 3-5 minutes to appear in the regular search though. If your script doesn't support auto ping, you can do it manually here each time you publish an article.
