IT act says nothing about accessing pornography to be consider illegal, it means you're allowed to access them. Distributing, publishing, storing pornography is illegal and punishable offense though.
Accessing porn at cafe is illegal.At home, if you're an adult..it's fine.Publishing/distributing in any way is illegal.
Whoa thats odd.. As i rememeber visiting India and there was soo much porn being watched in those slimy theatres all over the place..must have cleaned up their act in the last couple of yrs..

there are lots of Indian adult sites on the net and everybody is going there all the time,so i don't think anyone follows the IT rules there..lol
When was this rule passed? I still got a few GBs of it on my HDD ! I guess its time to clear it and watch only streaming stuff
100% correct even when i started using internet i also open porn sites . i always use either yahoo to chat or porn sites for little entertainment. but now i don;t have much time to watch them
Maybe all those Indian adult sites are hosted offshore. What if an Indian citizen runs a porn website which is hosted, say in Hongkong? Does it prevent the person from running an adult site? Could someone clarify this....
The cyber laws in India are not clear enough. Most lawyers argue that it is legal to watch adult content, but you're not allowed to distribute or create pornography.
If you are living in India, they you are supposed to follow the Indian law irrespective of the place of the crime.
