    My idea about raising your alexa rank is to install the toolbar on a spare computer and setup a script to refresh on your site every 10 seconds.

    Or you can put up a fake listing on eBay with a selling price of millions of dollars and drive people to your crappy site, but it will raise your alexa ranking.

    Or a better idea! Run a PPC ad of $100 a click for very popular search phrase related to webmasters!

    My ranking is approximately 130,000 and I only
    get about $5 million in sales per year. I wish
    I could get it down to 125,000 ;)

    its 120,534 for my cooking site, although it has only a few visitors coming every day and I havent done anything specific to boost its alexa rank.

    And I don't know how, but have been getting a few users to my site from Alexa's Top 500 regional Movers and Shakers also :D

    Hmm... 34,617 - 45,161 - 56,150 are my best 3 Alexa's. But, alexa is't really proportionate to traffic especially when it comes to webmaster related sites. For example, my site with 34k Alexa gets 10x the traffic as the 45k Alexa site (a directory). And, my 56k alexa site only gets 700 uniques / day.

    mine is 450,000 at about 1k uniques a day. I installed the toobar for a couple of weeks, and it was down to 130,000 for a while. I didn't like the toolbar so I uninstalled it.
