Just keen to know how much you people manage to earn from your web directories. i barely manage to earn 10$/month.
its all depends on how much you work on your directory...i have started my directory last 3 months back....and it made me $165 till date directory is http://www.dirdoo.com its a bidding directory
Like dirdoo said, you need to put in a lot of work in terms of quality content and SEO first. In directory business PR counts a lot- your directory's homepage and inner links have to get decent PR for people to rush in and start submitting paid links. Between, it's not so "cool" to ask people how much they earn in an open forum, because such matter is too private. Work harder and good luck!!!
My directory is new so I have earn only $36 only. I think my directory needs so much hard work to earn Sufficient money.
Do you think it is appropriate to ask such a question? I mean, what If I answered with something along the lines of... 'ask your mother, since I spend it all on her every month' Would that be just as out of line?
According to my opinion the bidding directories will be outside from the database of Google in the future . . .

This is not just at you Pipes... but why do some of you guys think you have some rights over what is correct social etiqette on a web forum? Where I am from it's not polite to ask a stranger about their personal business either, but this person is probably not from where I am... and is hardly asking for anything personal anyway! It's nothing at all like asking exactly what does your family earn yearly. Not even in the same ballpark stadium. That said... I aint posting what I earn
