I use a blogger blog, and a wordpress blog, then send this traffic over to my self-hosted blog. They're all in the same niche, but the 2 free blogs are a sub-niche of the main blog. And they ALL earn $ in various ways: adsense, amazon, affiliate products & links + a few of my own ebooks. The 2 free blogs receive a bit of traffic that is effortless just by them being hosted where they're at.
I used to use alot of Adesne on my blogs but now I find it better to have my blogs around a tightly focused niche and then sell affiliate products related to that niche.. better ROI.. If you sell clickbank or other affiliate products on your blog I like to remove Adsense as usually the adssense ads steal the traffic away form your affiliate offers.
I didn't try it but you can use your own domain name with Blogger if you don't like blogspot subs. It hosts your blog for free so you don't have to worry about your server, downtime, etc. The downside is you don't have total control over the backend of your site.
make money in a blog u need original content and lots of it. If you plan on generating income from adsense, research your niche and make sure your keywords pay well. Be patient and stick with it. People quit way to soon
surprisingly, yes, but thats because of the niche they're in... people are searching for info in this niche... (and no, I won't tell you what niche )
I'd love to make money from blogs, but I don't know what to write about half the time, and quite honestly I don't know who would really care to read what I have to say. I mean aren't people busy enough with work, family , kids etc...?
Simple. Have your blog as number one in google searches. Then when people click, have advertisement all over your blog, website, etc.
There are basically three ways to monetize your blogs. 1) selling advertising space - i.e. Adsense, Adbrite, Chitika etc. 2) selling someone else's products - i.e. affiliate links, Amazon, Clickbank, Commission Junction, etc. and 3) selling your own products -ebooks, audio/video products, coaching, training, memberships, seminars, etc.
generally go for adsense if your blog hosted in blogspot or wordpress and your blog has nice traffic or some organic result and some PR 3 or above then you can sell blogroll links, blog post (of your niche blog), blog review, blog comment, banner advertising, link sell etc. so many people making money from their blogs.
So far, I could even happy making some $ with free blog. But at last Your own blog Host and Domain and great blog platform like Wordpress is really amazing.
