Can Adding Too Much Content Get You Penalized ?

I would like to know if I add say 30 pages of content to a new site in a single day would that get my site penalized by google. If so how many pages (or) articles would be safe to add a day.

 

The answer is no. If you are going to sell some links then your site will be penalized. Another way to get your site penalize is to copy other site's content.

It is good to add more content in your website but that content should be unique & informative.
Maintain continuity in adding content. Adding lots of pages with content at once is not good but if you add few pages with content regularly will give you more benefit.

 

There's no such thing as too much unique content. If you're scraping it from somewhere else, even republishing articles you have a right to republish, its not going to help you much. If you add stuff Google hasn't seen before, they'll be glad to find it.

It may take a while for everything to index, but if you have an RSS feed and Google is aware of it, you may get them included very quickly.

 

You won't be penalized for doing something like this but why would you do that. If you have 30 pages worth of content, you are recommended that you add it periodically. It would not only only tempt the humans to come back looking for more, it would also entice crawlers to frequent your website to index fresh content.

That would be a win win situation for you.

If you have copied content you will be penalized for sure. There's no harm other wise.

 

Makes no difference as 30 is a very small number, the problem may come when you have a huge site and suddenly your number of pages get doubled. Sites have been penalized because of this, specially if you have no authority

 

If the content is unique, there's no reason for your site to be penalized by google.

 

thanks for your feedback. Actually I am building a small review site for about 30 different products. It took me about three days to write all the reviews and then I published it all in one day. The thing is I might not be adding much content to the site anymore as it is only focussed on reviewing these 30 products and am now only going to build back links to it. I just wanted to know since I have published 30 pages all at one go and now am not going to publish anymore would google be suspicious about it.(like 30 pages one day and no more articles for the next 3 months)

 

If you use duplicate content then sure your site is penalized by google. You make unique content.
