Simply put: 1. Do blogs hosted on BlogSpot & TypePad Pass PR onto External Websites (exc. nofollow tag) 2. Do they help increase SERPs even though they are hosted on the same IP? Before I continue on this link building endeavour from blogs, does this help my ranking? And how does Google see it? Your words are appreciated - A
Based on my experience, It helps! Creating blogs and content that are related to your niche is a great technique to improve your site's traffic. You can also place a link pointing to your own site from your blog.
I use blogs to promote all my websites and they work flawlessly when done correctly. The blogs have helped me increase my search engine rankings for my keywords and also have boosted my PR.
I find I do better with self-hosted for some reason. Blogs are great - no doubt about it - but self-hosted always gets me more hits than .blogspot or .wordpress.
Everyone says that google doesn't follow no follow links. I can prove this to not be true. I have done several tests where i set up a page with only a no follow link pointing to it from another site of mine. It had no other links coming to it from anywhere. Yet the page still got indexed by google. The fact is that google can do whatever it wants while it rules the SE universe.
ya, theres a difference between noindex and nofollow. it may not be passing its page rank to the site, but its still being indexed. (ie, index, nofollow)
Yes it is true that your site may get indexed through a nofollow link, but it will not help improve your pagerank, or rankings within google.
I understand about NoFollow, that was not my question. Thanks to JessieJames27 and Buddy4Webmasters, you have answered my question - A
Well in content links from blogs will not only boost your rankings and Page Rank.... but will also increase the Traffic to a greater account. As far as google seeing it well: Google Will Crawl and see it
I understand all of this and thanks for your comments, but if you get say 10 links from a 1 website, technically all those links wouldn't be as beneficial if they came from all unique IP addresses, no? So, if I got 10 different links from 10 different .blogspot.com blogs, does all those links count for individual links? OR does Google see them from 1 IP, 1 website, therefore not the same juice ?
yes, will help you for rank in serp add pr will be increased. don't worry for nofollow, it's for robots not for human
Well, base on my experience i has a little factor it will help to improve your PR and increase the rankings of your sites.
blog's really help on gaining SERP for your website... just target the right keywords that you use for optimizing your site...
No follow links are useful only in traffic point of view. So they should not be ignore try to add your comment on those types of blog which have nofollow links also........
