It's so unfair

In my niche all my competitors are violating google's quality guidelines. All of them are buying links on hundreds of websites for years without being penalized and of course they rank higher than me

It's so unfair. I submitted a report on these sites to google. Will that be taken into consideration?

I doubt that Google will take any actions, unless it's really blatant violation or they're using Blackhat techniques. Especially if your competitors are huge. Perhaps a change in their algorithm will weed out a few of them. Your best bet is to continue to work on your links building.

...stop snitching....your allowed to buy links....there is a guideline on the google site you should read it. Why do you think everyone wants in on the Yahoo Directory? Cuz its legit.

Seems like you do it yourself. Someone may check your site and see if it has any paid for links and report it themselves.:p:D

If they are doing things against Googles rules then they will lower their ranking :D

I wrote a lot of reports to google about this! They don't care! Even they have a form on their website where you can report the sites who has paid links. I dont know why they do this! If anyone find anything please let us know. If google agree the paid links...then...anyone with $ can go and buy big pr links...

That's business my friend. Those who play by the rules don't get any thanks for doing so. Complaining and whining about it won't do you any good and will leave you bitter and frustrated.

I shouldn't spend so much time working on complaining and attempting to disrupt your competitors when you could spend that time so much better working on your own site - write unique content that's really good and useful and you will get links anyway without having to pay for them :)

    hey buddy

if what they are doing is wrong then they will have to suffer for it sooner or later

u dont need to complain and Google will definitely come to know soon

if you are right and if you are abiding by all the rules then in the long run you would definitely rank better:):)

Welcome to the real world. This is happening every day in almost every industry.

I used to be frustrated about this something like two years ago. My next move was to use the exact same techinques at a larger scale and guess what I managed to get to the top for that keyword. :)

May be your competitors are better in reporting to google . Do not consider google as a govt office.

What if the sites buying links are actually quality sites? google can ban them, yahoo can list them, and then yahoo has the better serps! If your niche is what I think it is, it's very cutthroat.

Just ignore them just do your thing, jumping beyond terms will not last long. I just wonder if Google will take action to your report when they are not doing anything to your site...

Also for the meantime, try long tail keywords...

I think its unfair that you are playing negative game with your competitors.
your reporting them, so as they can do against as well, then u will be no where.
